Switch Sell or Replace Products Globally
To replace one code with a different code, normally used when you wish to replace an old item with a new item
Setting up the switch
First you need to find the product you wish to replace
Click on the Additional/Swaps Tab
Press the + to add a record
Click on the 3 dots to find the product that you want to sell in place of this product
Ensure that you can see the new code in areas 1 & 2 and the products description in area 3
You have 3 options here
A. Replace
This is replace the existing product with the new product specified at point 1 and will change the description in the sales order to the new code.
So in this example if you type in product code #CAS0026 into a sales order Horizon will replace the code & description in the sales order with #MJ22 and the description for this product
B. Switch
This will switch the existing product to with the new product sepecified at point 1 but will leave the original code & description on the sales order
So in this example if you type in product code #CAS0026 into a sales order Horizon will leave the code & description in the sales order as it is but pull the stock from product #MJ22
C. Additional
This is add the product code specified in point 1 to the sales order along with the existing code
So in this example if you type in product code #CAS0026 into a sales order Horizon will add in a second line to the sales order using code #MJ22
If you Untick Offer Choice then the operator will not get a choice on whether or not to replace the item, Horizon will automatically replace it for the operator
Press the Tick button to confirm and save the changes
Horizon replaces code #CAS0026 with code #MJ22
